Blogger

Principal function(s): Blogging

Blogger is a straightforward, free and tailorable Google-owned blogging platform platform. Users can customise backgrounds, images, text fonts, and text colours. It involves various features from other Google tools, so it might seem a bit convoluted at first. Users can easily attach files of any type to blog entries. A Google account is required for its use. Evaluation: Blogger is a valuable popular blogging and publishing platform. As regards educational purposes, it can bolster the writing skills and opinion-sharing of pupils and provide learners with a medium to communicate with learners. Therefore, Blogger can be used by both teachers and students. As with any other blogging tool, interaction is possible through the commenting function, which makes it fitting for asynchronised group work and discussions. Access to a Blogger channel or post can be configured from public to private or unlisted (accessible only through a URL). Basic IT skills are a prerequisite for using Blogger.

In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation. Users just have to type specific phrases, watch them being used naturally in context within popular movies and TV shows, and listen to their pronunciation. Playphrase works mainly with English. Playphrase is not open-source, but it is freely available. It does not require setting up an account or signing in. ... Plus d'info
