Akinator

Principal function(s): Game apps

Akinator is an online game in which the goal is to pick a character and have the genie guess who it is. Users can pick a character from a video game, a movie, a book, or real life. The genie will then ask the user a series of questions about the character to determine who it is and once it thinks it has the correct answer it will guess it. Users can also have the option to add characters such as themselves or people they know in real life. Evaluation: Akinator is a simple yet engaging game that allows users to acquire some vocabulary in their target language. It can be played in up to 14 different languages. There is no limit to how many times you can play and is free, although it displays ads. It is also available in app form.
