Photos For Class

Principal function(s): Image banks

Photos for Class provides access to a huge library of photographs suitable for use in classrooms and educational settings. Pictures are age-appropriate and suitable for school settings, they automatically cite the author and are licensed by Creative Commons for public use. Photos For Class is powered by Storyboard That and retrieves pictures from Pixabay and Flickr. Evaluation: A valuable and easy-to-use image bank for classroom use which is useful and time-saving for teachers looking for appropriate content for different educational settings. By using Photos for Class, educators can ensure that images are properly cited and copyrights respected, setting a good example for their pupils. A limited selection of photographs is available in comparison to other image banks, but the number should be enough for educational purposes. There is clear information on the website on how pictures are filtered, frequently asked questions, and more. Other similar image banks for learning and teaching are Pics4Learning or Pexels.

Users just have to type specific phrases, watch them being used naturally in context within popular movies and TV shows, and listen to their pronunciation. Playphrase works mainly with English. Playphrase is not open-source, but it is freely available. It does not require setting up an account or signing in. ... View details
