Factile

Principal function(s): Game apps

Factile is an online platform that allows teachers to create games in order to check students' progress and preview or review learning materials. Educators can either create their own jeopardy-style quiz or pick one from the thousands of pre-made game templates. When the game is played, the teacher clicks on right or wrong. Factile can be used for remote and/or in-person learning. It offers a free version. Evaluation: Evaluation: Factile is a user-friendly tool that can be easily integrated into any subject or course curriculum. It can make classes more engaging and fun, while still helping teachers assess students' understanding of old and new topics. Moreover, it is available in more than 5 languages. The free version allows users to create jeopardy-style games, with different options such as a buzzer mode, multiple choice, quiz bowl or memory game only in the paid-for version.

Specifically, it mentions collecting email addresses, passwords, and payment information. It uses Google Analytics to analyse cookies but does not allow advertisement on its website. The policy mentions various security measures, including regular website scans for vulnerabilities, the use of SSL certificates, firewalls, and malware scanning. Playphrase (Tool to find the pronunciation of words from movies )

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation.
