Screencast-o-matic

Principal function(s): Image and video editingScreen recordingVideo recording/creating

The tool allows creating videos, editing, and sharing them. With Screencast-o-Matic users can create short videos by recording their screen while commenting on their actions. The videos can then be used for tutorials and presentations, or even commentary to students about their written work. Additionally, users may use a web camera and add text, symbols, and drawings. Evaluation: The website has a number of tutorials that help users to understand the process of screen recording. By adding images and text, users can record videos with a personal touch. Users just have to type specific phrases, watch them being used naturally in context within popular movies and TV shows, and listen to their pronunciation. Playphrase works mainly with English. Playphrase is not open-source, but it is freely available. It does not require setting up an account or signing in. ... View details
